Indigenous Education Resources

The Province of Manitoba is working to ensure that Manitobans have the supports and resources necessary on their pathway from cradle to career. The Province provides a full suite of programs and services to help with transitions to and from school and work. Programs and services include:

Find a Job:

  • Manitoba Youth Job Centres - Open from May - August and provides free community-based summer employment referral services and career development and employment related skills information throughout rural and northern Manitoba.
  • STEP Services - Provides eligible Manitoba students with full and part-time jobs with government departments, agencies and Crown corporations throughout the year.
  • The National Job Bank (service provided by Service Canada) is a free service that can help employers advertise their job openings and help job seekers access a network of jobs using the Job Search feature.
  • Manitoba Jobs and Skills Development Centres are located throughout Manitoba and deliver a range of services for job seekers including career planning assistance and employment counseling, referrals to community agencies, work/job placements, financial support for foundation skills training and post-secondary training.

Support for Education and Training:

Financial assistance for activities such as skills training, upgrading, pre-employment preparation, and training for self-employment may be available to those who meet eligibility criteria, including:
